Morning Prayer begins on page 11 of the BCP 2019. As you use it you will see that there are several places that allow for three choices (the opening sentence, canticles, and prayers). One way to easily use this is to just pick one that you enjoy. You can also alternate each one, so the first choice would be used on Monday, Thursday, Sunday. This is a helpful way of doing it, and creates a pattern over time.

On page 16 and 17 the service has a place for the worshiper to read a Psalm and Lessons. The “lectionary” or schedule for readings begins on page 734 and has a month by month calendar for all the readings. There is a brief explanation on how to use the lectionary so that within two years most of the Bible is read.

Evening Prayer begins on page 41 of the BCP 2019, and like Morning Prayer offers up several options for opening sentences, canticles, and prayers. The same rotation used in Morning Prayer is appropriate. Like Morning Prayer there is a place for a Psalm and Lesson and those can be found on page 734. Evening Prayer texts are on the right side and Morning Prayer on the left.
